Newspapers Have It Wrong

News is much better when given directly from one person to another without editing involved.  For example:

Matt and I were given some news today directly from an immigration agent:

Secret Agent Man: "Well, everything looks good."

Us: *silence*

Secret Agent Man: "I'm going to approve your application.  You should have your green card within thirty days."

Matt: "Thank you."

Me: "Thank you so much"

Secret Agent Man: "That's it.  You're free to go.  Let me show you the way out."

Us: *gathering papers and other important documents before standing*

Me: *having a strange mix of emotions ranging from ecstasy to joyous weeping and not able to control myself for the better part of two minutes*

Secret Agent Man: *leading us to the corridor with all the elevators*  "Here you are.  Have a good day."

Us: "Thank you!"

So as you can see, no newspaper comes close to touching this news as told from my own lips!  And remember, you heard it here first!

Does this post have anything to do with that delicious lime gelato?
